General Information

Office Hours

Our office is open from 8:30am until 5:00pm Monday through Thursday and 8:30am until 2:00pm on Fridays.

Our phones are answered up until a half hour before the office closes each day. After hours calls are directed to our answering service.

Appointment Scheduling

Appointments are made by calling Connecticut Neck and Back Specialists at 203-744-9700. Requests for treatment may be made by a physician referral or directly by patients. Availability of new patient appointments varies with physician schedules. Patients will be scheduled into the first available new patient appointment unless a specific provider is requested.

Physicians referring patients with urgent needs can contact our office directly; our staff will work diligently to find the earliest possible appointment.

Although it is our goal each day to maintain the timeliness of our patients’ appointments, we appreciate your understanding if your appointment is delayed because of the nature of our practice or the potential for emergencies.

Our staff may ask you about previous imaging or other medical treatment summaries pertaining to the affected body part to assist our Providers in maximizing your visit.

We require all new patients to complete registration and medical history forms prior to their initial visit. These forms are available to download on this site under: Patient Resources/Patient Forms

Appointment Changes

We make every effort to accommodate the scheduling needs of our patients. We understand that unforeseen events arise that prevent patients from keeping a scheduled appointment.

It is the office policy of Connecticut Neck and Back Specialists that we require 24 hours notice for any appointment changes. Out of courtesy to our patients that are waiting for availability in our schedule, we will assess a $50.00 fee for any appointment changes not made 24 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment. Patients are responsible for this incurred fee as insurance does not cover this charge. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Prescription Policies

Providers at Connecticut Neck and Back Specialists will prescribe pain medication for a limited time as a part of surgical care. If ongoing pain management is necessary, patients will be referred to their primary care physician or a pain management specialist.

Connecticut Neck and Back Specialists providers must be notified of all current medication use and if any other physicians currently prescribe medication.

We ask that you call the office and speak with your provider’s secretary if you experience any adverse side effects after taking medication prescribed by our office.

If you feel the medications are not adequate for relief of your pain, discuss this with the physician or secretary; do not increase the prescribed amount of medication without a physician’s permission.

Medications are refilled Monday through Thursday during telephone hours (8:30am-4:30pm) and on Fridays from 8:30am to 1:30pm. Medications are not refilled on evenings or weekends. Please allow 48 hours for refill requests to be processed.
